Description

Who We Are

The 4M story is likely one you haven’t heard before. We’re on a mission to unlock access to the world beneath our feet - to do for the underground what Google Maps did for the surface.

By leveraging cutting-edge technology, we’re mapping the subsurface infrastructure and making reliable, real-time utility data accessible to the construction industry - transforming one of the world’s most traditional sectors.

We’re a growing startup with 110+ employees, based in Israel and the US (Austin, Texas & remote).

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced full-stack HR Partner to serve as the primary HR point of contact for 4M’s US site, supporting both our Austin office and our remote US team. This role acts as the on-the-ground presence of 4M’s global HR team, managing core HR responsibilities in the US while partnering closely with our Israel-based HR team to shape a thoughtful people experience, strengthen cross-regional connection and alignment, and bring our people vision to life.

This role blends hands-on people partnership with employee experience, office operations, and light recruiting support, working closely with managers and ICs as a trusted partner. We’re looking for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys wearing multiple hats, and brings a proactive, self-starting, can-do approach. Most importantly, someone who is excited to help build a strong, connected, people-first culture in a growing global company.

This position reports to: Head of HR

Location: Austin, Texas

What you will do:

People Partnership & Lifecycle Support

  • Serve as the primary day-to-day HR partner for US-based employees, providing guidance across employee relations matters and core HR processes, including onboarding, internal mobility, and offboarding.
  • Support the local implementation of global HR processes and programs (performance cycles, 1:1 practices, L&D initiatives, manager enablement, etc.), adapting them to US needs.
  • Collaborate closely with our Israel-based HR team to surface local needs, share insights, ensure alignment, and jointly shape consistent, meaningful people practices and experience across regions.
  • Maintain compliance with US labor laws and internal company policies.

Employee Experience & Office Operations

  • Plan and lead local employee experience programs and engagement activities throughout the year - building a strong sense of community across the Austin office and remote US employees, while also driving initiatives that foster a sense of one global team.
  • Lead day-to-day Austin office operations, ensuring a welcoming, organized, and well-functioning workspace (vendors, supplies, facilities, equipment, logistics).

Hiring Support

  • Partner with our US Recruiter and Global TA Lead to support hiring in the US, as needed. This includes:
  • Manage candidate coordination and communication throughout the hiring process.
  • Conduct HR screens for selected roles.
  • Support sourcing efforts when needed and help identify local talent pools.
  • Ensure a smooth and positive candidate experience.
  • Help promote and strengthen 4M’s employer brand.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of hands-on experience across multiple HR disciplines, with strong depth in employee relations and lifecycle support.
  • Proven success in fast-paced, high-growth environments, ideally in startup or scale-up settings.
  • Experience working as a sole/independent HR function is an advantage.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high attention to detail.
  • Creative, resourceful, proactive, and highly independent, with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across all organizational levels.
  • Comfort working in an employee-facing role, providing day-to-day support with empathy, professionalism, and sound judgment.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and create structure, processes, or solutions where they don’t yet exist.
  • Willingness to work 4 days a week from our Austin office.
