We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cloud Security Research Lead to join our Israeli team.
As a Cloud Security Research Lead, you will be responsible for leading cloud security research efforts, shaping Aryon’s research roadmap, and translating deep technical findings into product capabilities that protect cloud environments at scale.
This role combines hands-on research expertise with leadership responsibilities — including guiding projects, mentoring researchers, and working directly with customers and Solution Engineering teams to ensure our research drives real-world impact.
The ideal candidate will have strong cloud security foundations, experience building cloud governance solutions, and the ability to collaborate across engineering, product, and customer-facing functions.
You will work within the Research and Engineering departments, owning key initiatives that influence Aryon’s product direction and security innovation in a fast-paced startup environment.
Responsibilities
Lead cloud security research initiatives focused on misconfigurations, IAM risks, and cloud vulnerabilities.
Design and build governance and preventative mechanisms for securing cloud environments.
Translate research insights into actionable product features, policies, and controls
Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering to implement end-to-end security solutions.
Work directly with customers to understand security challenges and validate research outcomes.
Support Solution Engineering efforts by providing deep technical expertise and guidance.
Drive architecture discussions around scalable security controls in complex cloud infrastructures.
Take ownership of research projects from ideation through execution and delivery.
Mentor and manage researchers or project teams, fostering technical excellence and growth.
Contribute to thought leadership and best practices in cloud security research.
Requirements
5–7 years of experience in cloud security research or cybersecurity expertise.
Strong background in security research (Application Security, Network Security, Web Security, Permissions/IAM).
Proven experience conducting cloud-focused research and identifying security risks
Expertise in one or more major cloud platforms (AWS preferred, Azure or GCP also relevant).
Experience designing cloud governance solutions and preventative security controls.
Background working with customers and translating real-world needs into technical solutions.
Experience in Solution Engineering or customer-facing technical roles- strong advantage.
Management experience leading employees, mentoring researchers, or driving complex projects.
Strong problem-solving skills, creativity, and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
