Position: Engineering Manager, Products

We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Engineering Manager with a proven track record of delivering complex technology products in fast-paced environments. This role requires strong leadership, deep technical expertise, and the ability to manage cross-functional teams across geographies. You will play a pivotal role in aligning engineering execution with business objectives and driving measurable value for stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Product Delivery & Management

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of enterprise-scale products, ensuring scope, timeline, and quality targets are consistently met.
  • Define delivery roadmaps, milestones, and resource allocation across multiple product lines.
  • Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks, and drive resolution to keep execution on track.

Technical Leadership

  • Provide hands-on technical guidance in backend architecture, distributed systems, and cloud-native applications.
  • Ensure adoption of coding best practices, architecture standards, and high-quality engineering processes.
  • Partner with Staff / Principal engineers to design scalable, resilient, and secure solutions.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as the primary liaison with US-based Product & Delivery leadership.
  • Translate complex business requirements into actionable technical deliverables.
  • Communicate status, risks, and dependencies clearly to executives and business stakeholders.

Team Coordination & People Leadership

  • Manage and mentor cross-functional teams of developers, testers, and product owners.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture that encourages innovation and accountability.
    Conduct regular stand-ups, retrospectives, and career coaching sessions.
  • Define and track performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.

Process & Delivery Excellence

  • Champion Agile and DevOps practices to improve release velocity and reliability.
  • Leverage metrics-driven decision making to optimize engineering processes.
  • Continuously evolve delivery frameworks to support rapid product launches.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience in software engineering and delivery.
  • 4+ years of experience in technical leadership and people management.
  • Strong expertise in distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
  • Deep hands-on experience with:
    • Core Stack: Java, Spring Boot, Apache Kafka, Elasticsearch (ELK), Kubernetes, Redis, AWS.
    • Other Skills: CI/CD pipelines, Git, Docker, Agile/Scrum practices.
  • Proven experience in insurance and cyber-risk domains, delivering products at scale.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Technical Skills

Mandatory:

  • AI-driven tooling (Prompt Engineering, ML integrations)

Domain Experience

  • Extensive experience in Insurance & Cybersecurity product engineering.
  • Expertise in building configurable platforms to accelerate product launches.
