As part of our U.S. expansion, we’re seeking an experienced HR Manager to develop and manage HR operations at our factory in Clayton, Georgia.
About the Role
The HR Manager - Factory Operations will oversee HR functions for our production workforce, managing all administrative processes for our Clayton facility of approximately 100 employees. Reporting to the General Manager, this role will be essential in ensuring OSHA/safety compliance, regulatory adherence, and fostering a positive work environment aligned with factory goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Collaboration: Partner with the General Manager to integrate HR practices with factory operations and ensure compliance with U.S. and Georgia labor laws.
- Leadership and Management: Directly manage the on-site HR team, ensuring efficient HR service delivery that supports production targets.
- Compliance and Safety Oversight: Ensure adherence to federal and state employment laws, including:
- OSHA standards, with a focus on workplace safety training and hazard communication.
- Anti-Discrimination and Wage Regulations (FLSA for minimum wage and overtime).
- Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) requirements.
- Workers’ Compensation coverage per Georgia state law.
- Employment Eligibility Verification, including Form I-9 and E-Verify processes.
- Payroll and HR Administration: Handle payroll, contracts, benefits, employee relations, and HR inquiries for factory employees.
- Employee Engagement: Develop initiatives to foster a positive workplace culture and enhance employee morale.
- Budget and Expense Management: Oversee the HR budget and manage expense processes specific to factory operations.
- Data Management and Analysis: Prepare reports on payroll, benefits, compliance, and safety to support strategic decision-making.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or a related field required; Master’s preferred.
- 5+ years of HR experience in the U.S., ideally within a manufacturing or factory environment.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and experience managing safety compliance in a production setting.
- Familiarity with TriNet or similar HR software systems.
- Proven expertise in HR compliance, recruitment, benefits, and employee relations.
- Previous experience managing HR teams in a factory or similar environment preferred.
