We are seeking skilled Optical Lab Technicians (Mounters & Finishers) to join our state-of-the-art fulfillment center in College Park. Position Summary
The Optical Lab Technician is responsible for the accurate assembly, finishing, and quality inspection of prescription eyewear. This role requires strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assembly:
Accurately fit prescription lenses into various frame types, including plastic, metal, semi-rimless, and rimless frames.
Production Support (Feeder Role):
Manage workflow through the finishing department by ensuring machines are properly loaded and production targets are achieved.
Quality Inspection:
Perform final inspections, including bench alignment and quality control checks, to ensure all eyewear meets ANSI standards prior to shipment.
Equipment Operation:
Operate modern edging and finishing equipment to ensure precise lens sizing and proper frame fit.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience:
Proven experience working in an optical lab environment, specifically in finishing, mounting, or edging.
Attention to Detail:
Ability to identify minor discrepancies, such as a 0.5 mm gap or slight axis misalignment.
Manual Dexterity:
Comfortable handling small tools and delicate components with precision.
Team Orientation:
Ability to work collaboratively in a high-volume, fast-paced production setting.
