Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Field Sales to lead our high-performing field sales team. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record of driving sales growth, developing and executing sales strategies, and fostering a high-energy, results-driven sales culture. As the Director of Field Sales, you will be responsible for managing and expanding our field sales operations, driving revenue growth, and ensuring the success of our sales team.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy and Execution:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive field sales strategies to achieve company revenue goals.
  • Identify and target new business opportunities and markets to expand the customer base.
  • Collaborate with the VP of Sales to set and monitor sales targets, KPIs, and objectives.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing field sales team.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, professional development, and accountability.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and implement improvement plans as necessary.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
  • Understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions that drive customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Act as a key point of contact for major clients and escalate critical issues when needed.
  • Take pride in jumping on prospect calls to help get them across the finish line

Collaboration and Cross-Functional Coordination:

  • Work closely with marketing, product, and customer success teams to align sales strategies with company objectives.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives and campaigns.
  • Participate in the development and refinement of pricing strategies, product features, and marketing plans.

Market Analysis and Reporting:

  • Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs.
  • Provide regular reports on sales performance, market insights, and strategic recommendations to senior management.
  • Utilize CRM tools and analytics to track sales metrics and identify areas for improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience in a field sales role, with significant experience managing teams dedicated to in-person sales.
  • At least 5 years in a leadership position within the SaaS industry.
  • Proven track record of managing a team of 7 or more high-performing sales closers.
  • Direct experience in building and leading a highly effective outbound sales team, with extensive expertise in outbound sales strategies.
  • Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong leadership, team-building, and motivational skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of the SaaS industry, market trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools, particularly Salesforce.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed.

Compensation range- 200-250k OTE
