Today, Guesty has 15 offices and 700+ team members across the globe and we are looking for a Automation Quality Expert to join our team!

As an Automation Quality Expert, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality of our web products. You'll collaborate closely with developers, architects, and DevOps to establish and guide and implement best practices for quality assurance. You'll help developers with tools, guidance, and hands-on support to create and maintain comprehensive automated tests.

• Developing Automation Approach: Develop and implement a comprehensive automation strategy for the R&D group that aligns with business objectives and enhances the software development lifecycle.
• Automation Frameworks and Tools: Identify, evaluate, and implement appropriate automation frameworks and tools to optimize testing processes, increase test coverage, and improve release cycles.
• Testing Plan Review and Implementation: Review, validate and implement testing plans for different projects to ensure they encompass relevant test cases, adhere to best practices, and facilitate efficient automation.
• Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Drive the integration of automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline, enabling continuous delivery of software with confidence in its quality.
• Collaboration: Collaborate closely with development teams, architects, and DevOps to align automation efforts with development objectives, share insights, and foster a culture of quality and automation.
• Quality Metrics and Reporting: Define and track key quality metrics to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of automation efforts. Prepare regular reports for stakeholders to showcase the impact of automation on product quality.
• Hands-on Test implementation: Assist in writing and improving automated integration and E2E tests to increase test coverage and quality.
• Technical Expertise Sharing: Conduct workshops and training sessions to share automation best practices and technical knowledge with team members and foster continuous learning.

Must have:

• At least 3 years of experience as a software Automation quality engineer and automation infrastructure engineer, in agile environments.
• Passion for Quality and Automation: Enthusiasm for driving quality improvement initiatives and a strong desire to stay updated with the latest automation trends and technologies.
• Automation and Testing Expertise: Proven track record of writing and implementing automation scripts and frameworks. Strong understanding of different testing methodologies and best practices and experience with modern tools and frameworks like Playwright, Cypress, Jest. Strong understanding of unit, integration, E2E testing. Comfortable working with TypeScript and familiar with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• CI/CD Knowledge: Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment processes and experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI and etc..
• Leadership and Mentoring Skills: Ability to lead and motivate software engineers to achieve common goals. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with diverse teams and effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to guide and mentor developers on quality and automation best practices.

• Experience in Analyzing Architecture: Demonstrated experience in analyzing software architecture and identifying automation opportunities to enhance quality and efficiency.
• Testing Plan Review: Prior experience in reviewing testing plans and providing valuable feedback to ensure comprehensive coverage and alignment with automation goals.
• Project Management: Effective project management skills to drive plans, meet deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Problem-Solving Ability: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex challenges and devise innovative solutions.
• Experience in Automation quality leading role (team lead or tech lead).
