Accounting Specialist

We are looking for a customer-focused and analytically minded Accounting Specialist to support clients using Guesty’s financial, business, and accounting-related features and dashboards.
In this role, you will handle client-facing support tickets related to financial workflows, business configurations, and owner-related setups while ensuring accurate system configuration, reporting, and financial visibility within Guesty. You will act as a trusted financial and product expert, helping customers resolve issues, understand their data, and successfully use Guesty’s financial and accounting tools.
Responsibilities
- Handle client support tickets related to Guesty’s financial and accounting features, including dashboards, reports, and business workflows.
- Assist customers with setup and troubleshooting of configurations such as business models, revenue allocation, owner statements, payouts, and trust accounting.
- Support customers in understanding how financial transactions and business rules flow through Guesty’s system.
- Analyze financial dashboards and reports to identify discrepancies, configuration issues, or data inconsistencies.
- Guide customers through reconciliation processes, deposits, balance tracking, and period closing.
- Support customers with locked accounting periods and historical data accuracy.
- Serve as a trusted advisor by educating customers on system logic, financial features, and best practices.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Customer Experience, and Finance teams to resolve complex financial or business-logic-related issues.
- Maintain strong knowledge of Guesty’s financial and accounting functionality and stay updated on new features and enhancements.
- Contribute to internal documentation and knowledge bases related to financial features and recurring customer issues.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in accounting, financial operations, financial systems, or SaaS support in a systems-driven environment.
- Strong understanding of financial and accounting fundamentals (e.g., double-entry bookkeeping, revenue recognition, and reconciliations).
- Experience in a client-facing support or customer service role handling cases or tickets.
- Experience working with financial dashboards, reports, and system configurations.
- Proven ability to investigate data discrepancies and resolve customer-reported financial or system issues.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple client cases simultaneously.
- Experience in hospitality, property management, or property management systems is an advantage.
- Languages: English (fluent); additional languages are a strong advantage.
