This is a hybrid position at our Bangalore office, with required working hours from 2 PM to 11 PM IST (including a one-hour lunch break). Are you available to work during these non-standard shift hours?

What you'll be doing

• This role is focused on lease accounting, to ensure we record accurate balance sheet and income statement activity in accordance with ASC842. This includes ROU Asset, Lease Liability, Tenant Improvement Allowances, non-lease components, accruals, and recognition of lease associated expenses.
• Identify and partner with finance and other departments on various projects, including development and improvement of manual processes.
• Prepare quarter-end and year-end lease schedules for Management review and for preparation of SEC financial statements and footnotes.
• Review and analyse landlord billing for CAM, VAT, etc. and correspond with Workplace Experience (Real Estate) team on variance and reconciliations.
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules in accordance with US GAAP.

What we're looking for

• Experience: Accounting experience, with at least relevant years experience specifically focused on Lease Accounting.
• Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
• Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and a proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ownership and Curiosity: Strong sense of ownership and strong curiosity to learn new things.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to identify gaps in processes and propose solutions.

You might also have

• Experience and Knowledge: Progressive experience in accounting and/or audit, preferably with public, multinational companies, and a strong background in US GAAP and SOX.
• Professional Certification: Chartered Accountant, CPA (Preferred).
• Technical Skills: Experience with Workday Financials and/or NetSuite, ProLease MRI, LucerNex will be an added advantage, and Proficiency in Excel and MS Office Suite is a must.
