We’re seeking a Director of Business Development to lead our global efforts in the technology and entertainment industry and overseeing the biz dev team. The ideal candidate possesses the strategic prowess to connect and build strong collaborations with top-level executives at industry giants such as Netflix, Universal Music, Disney, and more. We need a visionary leader who can not only establish these crucial connections but also orchestrate seamless collaborations across multiple departments within our company, to drive impactful and sustainable growth. If you have a proven track record of driving results and a knack for navigating corporate landscapes and igniting innovative partnerships, we want you on our team.
What you will be doing
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with key partner platforms to leverage their resources, enhance product integration, and explore co-marketing opportunities.
- Identify and engage with decision-makers of major entertainment companies to explore collaboration opportunities. Develop and negotiate contracts, business models, and financial terms for these collaborations.
- Manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring successful execution and delivery while working closely with internal stakeholders (Marketing, Product, R&D, Finance, Legal).
- Act as the central point of contact for any third-party collaboration. Evaluate and prioritize opportunities based on strategic alignment and potential business impact.
- Track and analyze the performance of business development activities, campaigns, and partnerships. Prepare regular reports and presentations to share insights, successes, and recommendations with senior management.
- Lead and mentor a small team of 1-2 business development professionals, providing guidance, support, and fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Set clear objectives and KPIs, and track team performance against goals.
- Stay updated on industry trends and platform policies to identify new opportunities and mitigate risks.
Your skills and experience
- Proven track record of 7+ successful business development and relationship management in the tech or entertainment industry.
- Strong strategic thinking and execution skills, with a track record of infrastructure development and scaling activities.
- Proficiency in navigating complex organizations and building successful relationships at the executive level.
- Demonstrated ability to drive growth through impactful collaborations and initiatives.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Team-oriented leadership style with a passion for mentorship.
- Self-driven and proactive with a results-oriented mindset.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage projects from inception to completion.
- Strong time management, prioritization skills and great attention to detail.
- Passion about Lightricks, our apps and the problems we are solving.
- Strong network within the technology and entertainment sectors, and understanding of the Creator Economy ecosystem - preferred.
