About the role:

The Sales Director, Federal is the lead MDC executive responsible for strengthening and advancing trusted relationships with the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) and for growing MDC business within the Health & Human Services Departmental Offices (DO) and targeting the Veteran’s Health Administration (VHA), Department of Defense (DOD), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA), National Institutes of Health (NIH), HHS DO and HRSA. The Strategic Account Executive must have extensive career experience and recognized credentials supporting FDA, CMS, NIH, HHS DO and HRSA/ACF missions and operations, a vibrant and sustained network and strong team and relationship building skills.

The candidate must have a fully developed understanding of current and evolving Health & Human Services programs. The candidate should be familiar with the HHS & Agency CIOs, Health & Human Services leadership and be able to exchange information and ideas with influencers and decision makers supporting Health & Human Services strategy, plans and programs. This individual will provide direct support to the Vice President of Government and Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and report administratively to the VP of Government.

Your everyday responsibilities:

  • Find and close new business opportunities throughout Health & Human Services and its Agencies
  • Target and execute business development plans relate to the federal sector
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key leaders across HHS and its Agencies
  • Support project scoping process for new use cases in new markets

At MDClone we believe that experience is priceless, here is what we are looking for:

  • Relevant academic degree
  • 10+ years of work experience in healthcare business development, specifically at the Federal level, Health and Human Services experience strongly preferred
  • Extensive understanding of Government customers, procurement process, and their unique requirements
  • Familiarity with contracting, sales, and relationship management for Health IT products in the Healthcare Industry
  • Proven ability to develop and sustain customer relationships at all requisite levels

Travel Requirements:

Ability to travel regularly as warranted by project work and location; frequency will vary.
