About the Role:
Can you craft compelling stories backed by your own solid writing skills? Are you highly organized and capable of maintaining and executing on editorial calendars? Do you bring a sense of curiosity about (and perhaps some experience in) cybersecurity or telecoms to the table? If so, we’re looking for you to join our team as a Brand Content Marketing Manager at OneLayer!
We're a startup, so you should expect a bit of everything in this role. Reporting to the Director of Product Marketing, you'll dive into creating blogs (your primary responsibility), drafting press releases, crafting thought leadership content, and managing industry awards submissions, as well providing some administrative support around analyst relations. You most likely are NOT an expert in all these areas – that’s OK! We value enthusiasm, curiosity, organization, and the ability to produce engaging content over a perfect resume. If you have the aptitude and interest to learn about our products, there is potential for growth into a product marketing role.
Our ideal candidate is a talented writer who enjoys creating engaging content and knows the importance of staying organized. We are looking for someone with a total of 3-5 years in content marketing, with at least a year in either the cybersecurity or telecom sectors – or both, if you have it!
What You’ll Do
- Build and manage OneLayer’s editorial calendar in collaboration with the Director of Product Marketing
- Create content for our blog on a regular basis (bi-weekly)
- Write press releases
- Research and submit OneLayer for industry awards
- Partner with internal and 3rd party teams on key thought leadership initiatives
- Assist the Director of Product Marketing in managing the Analyst Relations calendar
What We're Looking For:
- Writing Proficiency: Strong writing skills are essential. Should be comfortable with AI tools but confident in producing original content.
- Organizational Skills: Experience in developing and maintaining editorial calendars is crucial.
- Industry Experience: 3-5 years in content marketing, with at least a year of exposure to cybersecurity, telecoms, or a blend of both.
- Reliability: Primary responsibility will be the regular and predictable delivery of blogs and brand voice content. Experience in thought leadership content is a plus.
- Adaptability: A keen interest in understanding our products. Open to learning about industry awards submissions, press releases, and analyst relations.
- Cultural Competency: Experience working with global teams. Your main team is based in the US, but you should be open to the occasional (and we do mean occasional – not daily) call outside standard hours.
- Location: This role is located in Greater Boston. To start, this role will be 100% remote; however, we are planning to open an office, and this role will eventually spend 1-2 days per week there with the growing local team.
