About the Role

Pagaya is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Global Head of Cyber & Information Technology to lead our cybersecurity, IT, and business applications functions. This is a critical, cross-company leadership role responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive strategy that will protect and safeguard our data, technology, and intellectual property on a global scale. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the financial technology (Fintech) sector and/or publicly traded companies, with proven experience managing senior managers, navigating complex compliance landscapes, and driving large-scale, cross-company tech projects. In addition, proven experience communicating with the Board of Directors and executive leadership is essential. This role requires a leader who is not only a deep technical expert but also understands how to align these functions with our core business objectives to drive growth, effectively engage with cross-company leaders, and ensure a secure journey for the entire company.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Develop, implement, and manage a robust information security and technological program that aligns with business goals and regulatory requirements.
• Global Team Management: Lead and mentor high-performing teams of cybersecurity, IT, and business applications professionals located in the US and Israel, fostering a culture of security awareness and continuous improvement across the company.
• Cybersecurity & IT Operations: Oversee all aspects of cybersecurity, including threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management, and security architecture. Directly lead the IT and Business Applications teams to ensure the reliability, scale, efficiency, and support for all company functions and the tech stack.
• Compliance & Governance: Ensure the continuation of Pagaya's successful compliance with standards and regulatory landscapes (e.g., SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 2700x). Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Board & Executive Communication: Present security posture, risks, and strategic initiatives to the Board of Directors and executive team in a clear and compelling manner, translating complex technical information into business terms.
• Cross-Company Project Leadership: Champion and drive critical, cross-company technology projects, ensuring seamless collaboration and execution across various departments.

Requirements

• Experience: 10+ years of experience in a Senior Cybersecurity and IT Leadership role, with a strong preference for candidates from the Fintech industry and/or high-tech publicly traded companies.
• Global Management Experience: Proven track record of managing and leading geographically dispersed teams of cybersecurity, IT, and business applications senior professionals and managers, specifically with experience in the US and Israel.
• Technical Expertise: Deep, hands-on knowledge of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices. Extensive experience managing IT infrastructure, enterprise systems, and business applications.
• Compliance & Risk Management: Proven track record of managing and achieving compliance with regulatory frameworks. Demonstrated ability to conduct risk assessments and implement effective risk mitigation strategies.
• Project Management: Demonstrated experience leading complex, large-scale technology projects from conception through to successful implementation.
• Communication Skills: Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, including the board and C-suite.

Strategic Acumen: A strong understanding of business operations and the ability to design security and IT strategies that support and enable business objectives rather than impede them.
