About the Role

Pagaya is seeking a Chief of Staff to serve as a critical partner and force multiplier for the CTO. This is a highly strategic and operational role designed to translate the CTO’s vision into an executable strategy, drive organizational alignment, and ensure operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning & Execution: Work directly with the CTO and senior leadership to define, cascade, and track the execution of the Technology organization’s annual goals and KPIs, ensuring alignment with overall business strategy.
  • Executive Operations: Manage the CTO's meetings, offsites, and key stakeholder interactions, ensuring clarity of purpose, decision documentation, and diligent follow-up, work with Executive Assistant on the CTO's schedule.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee the operational cadence of the R&D and Technology organization, including annual budgeting, resource allocation, and maintaining efficient processes across all teams.
  • Communications: Prepare presentations, reports, and communication materials for the Board of Directors, executive leadership, and company-wide forums, clearly articulating our technology strategy and progress.
  • Project Leadership: Lead high-priority, cross-functional strategic initiatives that fall outside the purview of existing teams, ensuring successful, on-time delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science/Economics/Other Technological Degree. A Master's degree is an advantage.
  • 5+ years of experience in a fast-paced, high-scale B2B Technology/Fintech SAAS company as a Data Scientist, Tech Ops or Chief of Staff.
  • Proven experience managing or significantly contributing to Technological Site Operations or R&D Operations, specifically with teams distributed across multiple sites (experience with US/Israel sites strongly preferred).
  • Demonstrated understanding of R&D with a research focus (AI/ML models, data-intensive systems) and the ability to define operational processes that support it.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, with proven ability to craft compelling narratives for senior and executive audiences.
  • Highly organized, adept at managing complex project portfolios, and proficient with project management.
