Senior Director of CyberOps, Deputy CISO

We are seeking a Senior Director of CyberOps / Deputy CISO to lead our global cybersecurity operations. You will manage cross-functional security teams including SOC, CyberOps, Application Security, GRC, and Cloud Security, while supporting regulatory and compliance obligations across jurisdictions.

What you'll do:

  • Lead and manage the SOC (24/7), Cyber Operations, Application Security, GRC, and Cloud Security teams.
  • Act as the Deputy CISO, providing strategic leadership and day-to-day management of operational security activities.
  • Oversee threat detection, response, and remediation processes across the enterprise.
  • Direct enterprise vulnerability management, bug bounty, red teaming, and secure SDLC initiatives.
  • Drive risk-based governance across cloud platforms and applications (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Ensure alignment with global regulatory requirements (e.g. NYDFS Part 500, PCI-DSS, DORA, SOC 2) and internal policies.
  • Partner with Legal, IT, Engineering, and Compliance stakeholders to support audits, risk assessments, and third-party reviews.
  • Manage enterprise-wide security incident response, forensic analysis, and executive-level reporting.
  • Guide the implementation and optimization of key security technologies (SIEM, SOAR, CNAPP, CSPM, WAF, SAST/DAST, etc.).
  • Develop and maintain KPIs and executive dashboards to communicate cyber posture and operational effectiveness.
  • Mentor and grow security leadership across functional domains to build a high-performing, scalable organization.

Who you are:

  • 10+ years of cybersecurity experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing multiple security functions.
  • Proven experience overseeing SOC, Application Security, Cloud Security, and/or GRC teams.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise security architecture, threat modeling, and secure software development.
  • Deep familiarity with compliance frameworks such as NYDFS, SOC 2, PCI-DSS, DORA. NIST CSF.
  • Experience in regulated environments (fintech/financial services preferred).
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and executive levels.
  • Ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels in a fast-paced, global organization.


Advantage:

  • Certifications: CISSP, CISM, CCSP, OSCP, CISA.
  • Experience reporting to boards, regulators, or external auditors.
  • Prior experience as a Deputy CISO or senior operational security leader.
