Taranis has a goal of helping growers perform more conservation on the ground while maximizing grower profitability and utilizing available funding resources. Thus Taranis created its “Conservation Services” which allow for quick and easy access to various sustainability programs, and leverages Taranis Intelligence service reports to unlock funding on advanced pest management practices, as well as streamline the annual reporting requirements.
Taranis is looking for a Director of Sustainability to drive conservation strategy and plans in row crops in the USA midwest region, especially focused on funding opportunities for Taranis grower customers via NRCS CSP & EQIP.
Responsibilities
- Continue to develop Conservation programs, products, and industry relationships
- Manages the sustainability team
- Works with Product team on development, constant feedback and improvements.
- Engages with NRCS Fed and Local Leads
Requirements
- Established relationships within NRCS, FSA, and relevant government agencies
- Deep understanding of Conservation practices and program requirements
- Experience in writing and/or reviewing and ranking NRCS CSP & EQIP conservation plans
- Deep understanding of various codes in conservation plans especially around 595, 590, 328, 329, 340, 345, 420 and the available enhancements
- Understanding on NRCS budget allocation per state, district
- Understanding of the application ranking process for CSP & EQIP
- Good working relationship with other NRCS offices/professionals across the Midwest
